1 About
-------

Lifted tracks only show ballast and can be used to keep your old and
disused rail lines visible in the landscape. The planning tracks allow
plotting new rail lines. Both railtypes do not allow vehicles.

---------------------
2 General information
---------------------

2.1 Requirements
----------------
OpenTTD:
OpenTTD 1.3.0 (r24367) or newer is recommended.
The set should work from 1.2.0 (r23166), but then some features will
be disabled. Anything lower than r24367 is unsupported and for use at
  own discretion.
TTDPatch:
  Not compatible.

2.2 Installation
----------------
OpenTTD:
  see http://wiki.openttd.org/NewGRF
This NewGRF is available from the ingame Online Content

2.3 Parameter settings
----------------------
You can set the parameters via the ingame parameter settings window. In
this section an overview of the available settings.

Interface style
NewGRFs cannot detect what base graphics set you're using. You can
use this setting to make the buttons and cursors provided by this
    set match your base graphics.

Custom signals
Custom signals are provided for the tracks in this set. With this
feature, electric signals will be "off" (show no aspect) for lifted
and planning tracks. This requires OpenTTD 1.3.0 (r24367).

Then there are settings for each individual railtype. This allows to
disable railtypes that you don't want.

2.4 Usage
---------
Tracks are always available for construction. They do not allow vehicles
(unless you have a specially prepared vehicle set, which is unlikely).

--------------
3 Known issues
--------------

No known issues.

------------------------
4 Background information
------------------------

The idea for this set is shamelessly stolen from NuTracks. NuTracks
originally featured the "blue dashed planning tracks", which were later
replaced with bare track beds. This set provides both, to be added to
any other track set of your choice.

----------------------------
5 Frequently Asked Questions
----------------------------

Q: Will this set be developed further in the future?
A: It is planned to add objects to make disused bridges in the
landscape without actually having a bridge there (think foundations
and such). It is unlikely that other track types will be added any
    time soon.

7.1 Bug reports
---------------
Please report any bugs you find at
  bug tracker: http://dev.openttdcoop.org/projects/uselesstracks/issues
  or forum topic: http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?t=61595

Always included a detailed description of the bug, preferrably with
screenshot and savegame. Also state the exact game version you're using,
as well as the version of this NewGRF.

If you have a savegame that includes NewGRFs not available on OpenTTD's
Online Content, then please try to reproduce the bug in a new game
which has all NewGRFs easily accessible.

If you're using a patched version of the game, please try to reproduce
the bug on an official game build. If you can't reproduce the bug, then
don't report it here but in the forum topic of the patch(pack) instead.
